1. Who can sponsor Million Question Quiz (MQQ)?Anyone who owns their own website, provided your website does not contain obscene, offensive or "adult only" material.
If you change your link or add unsuitable content to your website your sponsorship page will be removed and no refunds will be given. We will decide what is suitable and our decision is final.
2. How many bids can I make?
As many as you want, however, you must pay for all successful bids. If you only want one sponsorship page you should make only one bid.
3. What do I get if I win an auction?
- Sponsorship page containing up to 150 words which will remain on the website for the number of years stated in the auction bid form.
- Link to your own website within your sponsorship page.
- Link to play the MQQ within your sponsorship page, the quiz type will be multi-choice or single typed in answer style. The auction bid form states the style you made a bid on.
- One "image block" in one of our picture clue pages, we will allocate the position of this block. When a visitor rolls the curser over your block your banner appears. You can upload your own banner or we will create a text only banner, the banner dimension is limited in size (the size you currently see in the MQQ homepage). Clicking on the banner will drop people into your sponsorship page.
- Your own listing in the sponsors page.
- Your website link shown in the quiz results page of every quiz for at least the first four weeks of your sponsorship period.
- The ability to promote yourself as a "sponsor of the MQQ" for the duration of your sponsorship. You can also include a banner in your own website and emails and link it to your own MQQ sponsorship page.
4. How do I know if I am successful?
We will email all winners normally within 48 hours of the auction closing date.
5. How do I pay for a winning auction bid?
You must pay online by one of the card payment methods acceptable to WorldPay, as detailed on the bid page. We will email you the link to WorldPay’s secure card payment page with the email confirming your winning bid. Payment must be made within 7 days of the date on the email confirming your winning bid. By bidding you have entered into a legally binding contract to purchase if you are notified that your bid is successful.
6. When do you obtain the wording for my sponsor’s page and my "roll over banner"?
Immediately you make your payment you will be presented with a screen to input your wording for your MQQ sponsors page. You can enter up to 150 words and upload a "roll over banner" for use on the MQQ picture clue page. Banner images MUST be 158px wide and 38px high or less. The maximum size for an uploaded image is 4,096 bytes or 4k. You can upload PNG, GIF, animated GIF or JPEG format images. If you don't have a banner you can enter your wording from which we will create a text banner.
7. What happens after I have paid and entered my information?
We aim to add your sponsorship page to MQQ within 4 days of receiving your payment. We reserve the right to alter or ask you to alter any wording that we feel is unsuitable. Your sponsorship period runs from the closing date of the auction to the end of the sponsorship period detailed in the auction. At the end of your sponsorship period your sponsor’s page will be removed.
8. What other conditions apply?
8.1 There might be occasional downtime for website maintenance. We will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
8.2 If a link is altered or your website ever shows obscene or offensive material your sponsorship will be revoked and no refund given. We will decide what is unsuitable as we want this website to be suitable for everyone including young children.
8.3 At no time will you own any part of this site.
8.4 Once a sponsor's page has been purchased NO refunds will be made and no changes will normally be permitted to your sponsor's page wording.
8.5 After the period of sponsorship shown in your auction has expired you sponsor's page will be removed.
8.6 If for whatever reason you want your sponsorship page removed, you can do that, but you will not get a refund.
8.7 We are not responsible for the content of external website that link from our site.
8.8 As more picture clues become available we will regularly change the main picture clue shown on the home page. Previous picture clues will still be displayed on the homepage but will be slightly smaller in size.
8.9 We may increase or decrease the number of questions available per quiz.
